Due to the soaring popularity of this man’s review of Patti LaBelle’s sweet potato pie, it’s sold out at Walmart everywhere.

“Our Snow Bear Scrapbook: Memories and Recipes from Thhimers” (Elizabeth and Sallie Thalhimer), 2000
Aw, that part made me sad.
Snow Bear lives on. The blog entry from Elizabeth is from 2012, but apparently he still works at the Repertory Theater in Richmond.

Oh wow. This is almost embarassing to admit. I grew up in Hampton, and I was in high school when the big amc24 movie theater opened in 1998 — its premeire movie was the Broderick Godzilla. I’m 32 years old and this past Friday was the first time I visited this theater, to see The Peanuts Movie. I went there because they were showing it cheap at 9:20 in the morning.
The movie theater is being renovated right now. I was able to sit in the brand new reclining seats in the mostly empty theater that morning.
From the looks over at Foursquare, this place needed a renovation after being permanently stuck in 1998.
There was 20 minutes of previews at the beginning–it felt like that episode of Rocko’s Modern Life where he tries to go to tne movies.

YouTube user Mike Purks posted the eerie video June 25, which combines video shot with a GoPro camera while walking through the empty, dusty hallways with soaring drone footage around the exterior. The video is accompanied by music from the “Nightmare on Elm Street” horror film.
