  1. I grew up in Trenton, just a few miles from Bordentown. Many moons before this became a Bradlee’s I believe this was once part of the old Two Guys chain of department stores (Trenton itself was home to a large Korvette’s department store until the early-to-mid 70’s). My sisters and I would shop there relatively often if the sales were good; otherwise, it was a bit too expensive. (Besides, we were definitely a Jamesway family. Remember them?) While we enjoyed shopping at Bradlee’s, none of us could quite stomach “Mrs. B”, the Bradlee’s spokeswoman character. I worked for the family who once owned the large Shop-Rite Supermarket located next door to this Bradlee’s and rarely, if ever, heard of any serious interest from anyone in purchasing this building, which is why it remains as it was upon closure.
