I took these when I was home during Easter.

Netcenter actually had signs up at the old entrances of the mall. This was the one in between Sears and the old Leggett. Which is now a Sears and Northrop Grumman.

  2. Wow! Thank you for this blog and these photos and the update on what’s happened with Newmarket North. I lived in Hampton until I was 15. Our house was about a fifteen minute walk from the mall and I remember going there countless times on summer days. I would go to the Nautilus and play Tempest, Missile Command, Red Baron, Joust, and the Xenon pinball game. I would buy model cars at Treasury Drug and I would salivate over all the D&D and sci-fi stuff at B. Dalton. Some of the stores I can remember are Camelot Music (I still have a record crate I bought there) and a place called the Earring Tree where I bought a huge patch that was black and had “The Doors” stitched in electric blue. Once a week, I would cross over to Newmarket South for guitar lessons in the back room at Three Guys Music.

Wow! This site has unleashed a flood of memories today. Thank you!
