Bath & Body Works New Design

So I was on this shopping trip to Charlottesville the school sponsored last night, and I go into Bath & Body Works. … …

Photobucket Photobucket

They totally cheapened the image of Bath & Body Works. 😦 I can live with the design of the body wash/body lotion, but WHAT were they thinking when they created those splash bottles? They look like something out of the dollar store. Oh, here is some girly website talking about it. I’m actually upset about this. I know lame. Are they trying to compete with Soristutes Secret?

Bath & Body Works New Style Bottles (2003 - present)

(2003-ish to 2008)

  1. I disagree. I think the new design looks elegant albiet a bit like VS Angel line. I’m more disappointed in the latest content (Vanilla noir, orchid, tuber rose)

  2. Victoria Secret & Bath and Body Works are owned by the same company, The Limited.

So I don’t think they would be competing with each other.

  3. I love that your caboodles are in the background! I totally WISH I still had mine!

  4. I’m upset with the new foaming hand soap bottles – they get stuck and shoot the soap out wildly! The old ones worked much better!

    • I totally agree! I bought several recently while they were on sale. Got them home and all 4 that I’ve tried get stuck. My husband refuses to use them, and I don’t blame him! I love B&BW soap, but until they fix this design, it’s just not worth the trouble, and I’ll be buying something else.

  5. The newly redesign of the foaming hand soap bottles totally SUCKS.

    1) they spurt out too much soap (as in.. ‘all over your sleeve’

    2) they no longer allow you to mix a bit of water in to let it last longer

    3) the bottles are smaller as well
Well call me suspicious.. but I don’t think this Bath and Body Works redesign was an accident on their part. They’ve just found a way to increase their Revenue Stream through more frequent purchases of their foaming soap. Fortunately, I saved about four of their old foaming ‘top’ dispensers.. Just screw an old foaming top dispenser onto a new bottle.. and it works fine!!!!!
