1982 Montgomery Ward Day After Thanksgiving Commercial (not mine)

Since its usually just me, mom and dad on Thanksgiving, one of our highlights is to look at the salespapers Thanksgiving morning.

It’s hard to believe that back in the day after Thanksgiving sales started at 8 a.m.. We’re so used to them starting at like, six a.m. or some cases now midnight or four a.m.

  1. If the stores opened at 8 on Black Friday, I might actually be able to get some shopping done (let’s just say I’m not much of a morning person.) Incidentally, thanks for linking to my Totem Lake Mall post (it’s misspelled on the link though.) I did a post on another of the small malls in the area recently as well, the Factoria Mall. This one isn’t declining nearly as fast as the Totem Lake Mall has, but it hasn’t exactly thrived either, and also has a major overhaul in the works:
